Senior Java Developer (IGaming)Location: Remote from Spain (an indefinite Spanish employment contract)Join a leading company in the sports betting and gaming industry, delivering cutting-edge digital experiences to millions of users.With a strong presence in Spain, the company is focused on scalability, high-performance applications, and innovation, ensuring a seamless customer experience across platforms.Project Overview:We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to be a key player in building and optimizing backend services that power the platform.You will work on critical projects, including integrating a new feed supplier and developing a cashier module to manage platform cash flow.This role requires strong expertise in Java, high-performance backend development, and API integrations, with a focus on scalability and reliability within an Agile SAFe environment.Requirements:5+ years of experience in Software Engineering.Strong knowledge of Java.Strong experience with the Spring Framework.Practical knowledge of software design patterns and data structures.Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles.Knowledge of application architecture principles.Understanding of JMM and GC.Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker.Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.Strong knowledge of RESTful web services and API design.Fluency in Spanish is mandatory.English level at least at B2 level.Responsibilities:Design and develop high-quality Java-based applications.Create detailed technical specifications for applications.Troubleshoot and debug applications.Ensure applications meet performance and scalability requirements.Work closely with other teams to ensure the end product meets the client’s needs.Monitor application performance and provide optimization recommendations.Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.Why this position:Opportunity to lead high-impact projects in a fast-growing company.SAFe Agile training and professional development opportunities.Collaborative work environment with a normal squad setup and clear responsibilities.
