Job description

Our client, a government contractor supporting critical federal programs, is seeking an experienced Senior Space Auditor to join a Space Management Team responsible for maintaining accurate facility, occupancy, and utilization data across a geographically dispersed portfolio.

This position is ideal for a facilities or space management professional who enjoys working both in the field and with data. The Senior Space Auditor will conduct onsite facility assessments, validate occupancy and personnel information, update floor plans and seating allocations, and work closely with government personnel, building managers, space coordinators, and other stakeholders to support effective space planning and utilization., * Support the Space Management Team in maintaining accurate space, occupancy, and utilization data.

  • Coordinate with Space Coordinators, Site Chiefs, Building Managers, government personnel, and other stakeholders involved in space allocation and facility use.
  • Gather and analyze customer space and occupancy requirements.
  • Conduct facility and site walks to validate existing conditions, seating assignments, occupancy levels, and personnel bed-downs.
  • Perform field measurements and verify room dimensions, layouts, and space configurations.
  • Update floor plans and seating allocations based on audit findings and facility changes.
  • Resolve floor plan, spatial orientation, and occupancy discrepancies.
  • Develop and revise space layouts using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, floor plans, and facility documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of space usage, capacity, occupancy, and vacancy.
  • Use ARCHIBUS or a comparable Computer-Aided Facility Management system to update records and generate utilization reports.
  • Analyze capacity, occupancy, vacancy, and utilization data.
  • Support immediate and long-term space planning and occupancy needs.
  • Assist with strategic space planning, occupancy planning, and facility planning initiatives.
  • Identify gaps and discrepancies within accountable spaces.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for senior leadership.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings or workshops when needed.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Conduct space audits at facilities worldwide, including domestic and international travel on a bi-monthly, quarterly, or as-needed basis.

Requirements

The role requires strong technical knowledge of space management systems, AutoCAD and Revit, along with the ability to interpret architectural drawings and translate audit findings into accurate facility records.

Domestic and international travel is required., * Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, Engineering, Planning, or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in space management, occupancy planning, facility planning, space auditing, or a related function.
  • Prior experience with ARCHIBUS or a comparable Computer-Aided Facility Management system.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience conducting space audits, facility assessments, occupancy validations, or personnel bed-down reviews.
  • Ability to perform field measurements and accurately document facility conditions.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and floor plans.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Adobe products.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally., * Experience with strategic space planning, occupancy planning, facilities planning, and workplace utilization analysis.
  • Familiarity with federal space accountability requirements.
  • Experience managing space inventory, occupancy, and utilization data across large or geographically dispersed facility portfolios.
