Job description

PRISM Inc.is seeking a Java Developer to support a critical mission-focused program. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level and government systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong Java expertise along with experience in complementary technologies within a structured, compliance-driven environment., Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based applications supporting government and enterprise systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and system administrators to deliver high-quality solutions Develop and integrate APIs to support interoperability and secure data exchange Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and documentation efforts Ensure application performance, security, and reliability through adherence to best practices Support application deployment through CI/CD pipelines and automation tools Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve system defects and production issues Ensure compliance with government standards, policies, and security requirements

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field 5 yrs of experience in Java development with strong proficiency in Java (JDK 8 or higher) Core understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks Experience with Hibernate/JPA for database interactions Familiarity with API integrations (RESTful and web services) Hands-on experience with Eclipse IDE Familiarity with IntelliTrack Entellitrak platform Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes Experience supporting enterprise-level or government systems Experience with SQL Server 2017 (or newer) and T-SQL, Experience with reporting and UI tools such as Jaspersoft Studio and DevExpress Familiarity with hybrid technology environments integrating Java and .NET solutions Experience working in Agile or hybrid development environments Knowledge of secure coding practices and government compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA) Familiarity with version control systems such as Git Experience with relational databases and data modeling

REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have an Active DOD Secret Clearance or higher (Top Secret)
