Job description
The BI Reporting Analyst position is responsible for analysis and report writing to serve the needs of the institution and respond to data/report requests with timely communication and business process analysis. This role will assist with data analysis, ranging from quality to predictive modeling as well as documentation of data standards, definitions, and catalog. The BI Reporting Analyst will work closely with Business Intelligence (BI) team members to develop and contribute to strategies and best practices in maintaining a comprehensive, reliable, and supportable data infrastructure.
Requirements
- Associate degree (A.S., A.A.) or two- year technical certificate in Computer Science or related discipline AND two (2) years of directly related experience
- Experience with data query languages (SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Perl, PHP, Java Script, jQuery) - 6-12 months
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, IBM DB2, Maria DB) - 6-12 months
- Experience with statistical analysis software (R, SAS, SPSS, Stata) - 6-12 months
- Experience with data visualization tools (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau) - 6-12 months
- Experience performing business analysis - 6-12 months
- Experience with technical writing, including preparing documentation and reports - 6-12 months
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, As a condition of employment, the selected candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check. For positions that require a formal degree as a minimum qualification, the university will also verify educational credentials.
