Job description

  • Valkyrie is seeking a dedicated Provisioning Specialist to support the development, maintenance, and sustainment of provisioning technical documentation for Naval Combat Systems, including Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) and Integrated Combat Systems (ICS) baselines., * Develop and manage Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD) supporting the development and maintenance of Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) for SSDS and ICS baselines, including field change updates.
  • Create top-down equipment breakdowns identifying the indenture level of provisioned items.
  • Manage and track provisioning actions to completion for Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) packages submitted to Navy Supply Weapon System Support (NAVSUP WSS).
  • Submit drawings for upload to Navy Product Data Management (NPDM) for provisioned parts.
  • Support engineering and product support reviews and provide provisioning-related technical input.
  • Respond to provisioning feedback received through Fleet COSAL Feedback Reports (FCFBRs) and Engineering Support Request System (ESRS).
  • Update baseline APLs to incorporate field change APLs following full implementation of engineering changes throughout the fleet.
  • Attend engineering change review boards and monitor approved changes affecting provisioning documentation.
  • Maintain and update provisioning documentation to incorporate approved engineering changes and assess impacts to operations, maintenance, corrective maintenance, and related technical documentation.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of Reliability Based Sparing Models, ensuring models accurately reflect current APL data.
  • Participate in technical documentation meetings, planning activities, working groups, and reviews, including Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Ship Change Documents (SCDs), technical working groups, and ILS/IPS meetings.
  • Track technical documentation status and support efforts to ensure technical data products are accurate, adequate, and suitable for product supportability and sustainment.
  • Provide weekly status reports to the IPS Manager.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience supporting SSDS, Navy, Integrated Combat Systems, logistics, provisioning, and/or shipboard systems; or HS Diploma or equivalent with at least 9 years of related experience.
  • Must have demonstrated experience with provisioning, technical documentation, logistics, configuration management, or integrated logistics support.
  • Must have experience developing, maintaining, and tracking technical documentation and data products.
  • Must have the ability to analyze engineering changes and assess impacts to provisioning, maintenance, operations, and sustainment.
  • Must have the ability to coordinate with engineering, logistics, product support, and Government stakeholders.
  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple provisioning actions and documentation requirements to completion.

Desired Requirements:

  • Experience with ICAPS and/or Navy provisioning processes, preferred.
  • Experience with NAVSUP WSS, APLs, COSAL, FCFBRs, or related Navy logistics processes, preferred.
  • Experience with NPDM and Navy technical data management systems, preferred.
  • Experience supporting Reliability Based Sparing Models, preferred.
  • Experience supporting NSWCDD DNA, SSDS, or Integrated Combat Systems, preferred.
  • Experience supporting ILS/IPS activities and engineering change processes, preferred.

Security Requirements:

  • Must have an Active Secret Security clearance and base access requirements.

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10%
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. (More information regarding REAL ID can be found: REAL ID)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment.
  • Be able to lift and move materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift.
  • Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.
