Cloud Software Engineer

• At least 5 years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing and problem diagnosis/resolution.\n
• At least 4 years of experience developing software using high-level programming languages such as Java, C or C++.\n
• At least 3 years of experience in software integration and software testing, including developing implementing test plans and test scripts.\n
• Demonstrated experience with open-source NoSQL products supporting highly distributed and massively parallel computing environments.\n
• Demonstrated experience with distributed computing technologies such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive or Pig.\n
• Demonstrated experience with Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).\n
• Demonstrated experience with data serialization formats such as JSON and/or BSON.\n
• Demonstrated experience developing RESTful services.\n
• Demonstrated experience with requirements analysis and design of at least one object-oriented system.\n
• Demonstrated experience integrating and extending open-source and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.\n
• Demonstrated technical writing skills and experience creating technical documentation in support of software development projects.\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is highly desired and may be considered equivalent to 2 years of experince.\n
• Master’s degree in a technical field may be considered equivalent to 4 years of experience. Technical fields may include Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering or similar disciplines.\n
• Must possess or be willing to obtain prior to start one of the following certifications:\n, * Experience deploying application in AWS or other cloud environments.\n
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud architecture, SDKs, APIs, and cloud service integration.\n
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.\n
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\n
• Experience with LLMs, Agentic AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).\n
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.\n
• Experience developing Java applications for distributed systems, including networking, multithreading and concurrency.\n
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers and microservices architectures.\n
• Experience with Agile software development and source code management practices and tools.\n
• Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting experience with Python, Ruby, Perl or similar languages.\n
• Knowledge of cloud security and compliance best practices.\n
• Experience developing and deploying data-driven or event-driven analytics.\n
• Experience working with analytics, taxonomies, ontologies, data models, schemas or data dictionaries.\n

• Analyze requirements and design, develop, integrate, test, deploy and maintain software solutions in cloud environments.\n
• Develop software using high-level programming languages such as Java, C or C++.\n
• Design and develop software for distributed and highly scalable environments.\n
• Develop and integrate RESTful services, APIs, and cloud-based applications.\n
• Work with AWS cloud architecture, SDKs, APIs, and cloud services.\n
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.\n
• Build and support modern CI/CD pipelines for automated software development, testing, deployment and monitoring.\n
• Develop and integrate containerized application and microservices using technologies such as Kubernetes.\n
• Work with distributed data technologies and open-source NoSQL platforms.\n
• Develop solutions using distributed computing technologies and frameworks such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive or related technologies.\n
• Work with distributed file systems such as HDFS and data serialization formats such as Python, Ruby, Perl or similar.\n
• Apply object-oriented design principles to software development.\n
• Integrate an extended open-source and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.\n
• Develop and execute software test plans, test scripts and validation activities.\n
• Diagnose and resolve software issues throughout the development and operational lifecycle.\n
• Support the development and deployment of data-driven and event-driven analytics.\n
• Work with modern AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).\n
• Apply observability and monitoring practices to support reliable, scalable applications.\n
• Collaborate with software engineers, cloud engineers, data professionals and other technical team members in an Agile development environment.\n
