Job description
Blu Omega is seeking a Technical Writing & Program Support Consultant to support federal healthcare programs and initiatives. This role operates in a remote environment and is responsible for providing programmatic and technical writing, editing, document production, Section 508 compliance support, graphics coordination, and project management support. The position requires experience supporting healthcare programs and technical documentation within a federal mission environment., * Review and edit programmatic and technical materials for grammar, clarity, consistency, organization, tone, and readability.
- Edit and format specifications, tip sheets, technical guidance, presentations, one-pagers, and other program materials.
- Apply established style guides, templates, and document standards to ensure consistency across deliverables.
- Support Section 508 compliance and document remediation activities.
- Provide or coordinate basic graphics and visual communication support, including formatting and presentation of technical information.
- Utilize AI-enabled tools to support editing, drafting, formatting, and quality control activities.
- Develop an understanding of supported healthcare programs, including terminology, policies, and processes.
- Support meeting preparations, including agendas, materials, minutes, and action tracking.
- Assist with project management tasks such as maintaining trackers, coordinating deliverables, monitoring deadlines, and following up on outstanding actions.
- Triage and prioritize requests across multiple workstreams and contracts.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and client readiness of materials.
- Collaborate with project leaders and subject matter experts to clarify content and ensure clarity of deliverables.
- Help establish and maintain efficient document development and review processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Public Health, Health Policy, Business, or related field.
- Experience in programmatic or technical writing, editing, or program support roles.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to review complex content and improve clarity without altering meaning.
- Experience formatting professional client-facing documents and presentations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical subject matter experts and stakeholders., * Experience supporting CMS, federal healthcare programs, or related initiatives.
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements and document remediation.
- Experience creating graphics, diagrams, and visual communications.
- Supporting project management activities such as facilitation and deliverable tracking.
- Experience working across multiple projects or contracts and prioritizing requests.
- Familiarity with AI tools for writing, editing, or document production.
- Experience developing style guides, templates, or document standards.
Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
