Job Purpose and Impact

• The Senior Professional, Application Development job builds, maintains, integrates and implements SAP and other software applications within the organization, supporting Supply Chain Execution capabilities including Warehouse Management (WM/EWM) and Transportation Management (TM). With minimal supervision, this job performs complex software application design, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications. Working within a cross-functional Product Team alongside Product Managers, Architects, Engineers and business partners, this job contributes to the full application lifecycle and continuous improvement of secure, scalable solutions that deliver measurable business value. The role combines SAP domain expertise with modern software engineering practices, including integrations, automation, DevOps practices and AI-enabled engineering productivity.

Key Accountabilities

• REQUIREMENTS SOLUTIONING: Lead workshops to capture business requirements, analyze gaps, and propose scalable (SAP) solutions.
• APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Builds complex application configurations to meet user and business requirements while identifying improvements to complex application support processes and procedures.
• APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT: Performs advanced programming, configuration, testing and deployment of fixes or updates for application version releases.
• USER COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Plays a key role and keeps an open channel of communication with users to respond to complex application support requests and needs.
• APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts complex technical application support activities to deliver on business outcomes.
• STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Partners with multi-functional teams, including developers, product managers and business partners to ensure configurations align with standards and project goals.
• VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Handles positive relationships with software vendors and negotiates complex contracts.
