Job description

Enterprise Architect (242lw) Security Cleared - 6-monthly (renewable) UK Remote -£market contract rate, We are seeking a senior Enterprise Architect for a contract opportunity supporting complex Defence R&D, transformation, digital integration and future operational capability.

You’ll provide strategic architecture leadership across operational, information, digital, cloud, cyber and mission systems, helping ensure technology delivery aligns with operational requirements, security and future Defence capability.

The role will involve:

Defining architecture principles, standards, governance and target architectures.

Developing enterprise architecture strategies, roadmaps and transition states.

Aligning business capability, operational requirements, information, security and technology.

Supporting business, application, data, security, infrastructure and integration architecture.

Evaluating emerging technologies and providing evidence-based recommendations.

Supporting secure-by-design, cyber resilience and architecture assurance.

Presenting architectural decisions to senior technical and programme stakeholders.

Supporting experimentation, R&D and transition of innovative technologies into operational capability.

Requirements

Are you an experienced Enterprise Architect with a background in Defence, Government, National Security or another highly regulated environment?, Significant Enterprise Architecture experience within Defence, Government, National Security or highly regulated environments.

Experience supporting MOD, NATO or major Defence programmes.

Experience across hybrid cloud, on-premises and secure/classified environments.

Strong understanding of cyber security governance and secure systems engineering.

Experience working with architecture governance boards and complex stakeholder groups.

Systems integration and operational technology experience.

Familiarity with Defence acquisition, assurance and engineering lifecycles.

Experience with TOGAF, MODAF, NAF and/or ArchiMate is highly desirable, alongside knowledge of NCSC CAF, ISO 27001, Zero Trust and secure-by-design principles.

Experience across data architecture, API integration, event-driven architecture, data governance, DevSecOps and emerging technologies such as AI and autonomous systems would also be advantageous., If you’re a senior Enterprise Architect with genuine Defence experience and are looking for a contract where your expertise can influence future Defence capability and secure technology adoption, we’d be keen to hear from you.
