Job description

  • Owning the technical design, development, and long-term maintainability of Android applications in the Warehouse domain

  • Serving as the primary communication bridge between engineering, product, and business stakeholders, ensuring clear, timely, and effective collaboration with both US and local teams

  • Providing hands-on technical leadership to a team of 2-3 developers, driving engineering best practices, code quality, and mentoring

  • Leading end-to-end delivery of features and bug fixes, including planning, estimation, execution, and release accountability

  • Continuously evaluating, introducing, and championing modern Android technologies, architectures, and tools to improve scalability and developer productivity

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on Android application development experience

  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) and solid Java skills

  • Experience with Android Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData/StateFlow, Room, Navigation, WorkManager, etc.)

  • A solid understanding of modern Android app architecture, including MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modularization

  • Experience with Kotlin Coroutines and/or Flow for asynchronous programming

  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party SDKs

  • Proficiency with UI development using XML and modern UI frameworks (Jetpack Compose is preferred)

  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso, Robolectric, etc.)

  • Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger/Hilt

  • Proficient with Git and modern source control workflows

  • The ability to own deliverables and guide junior developers
