Job description
We are looking for an experienced Lead ERP Finance Solution Architect to shape and evolve the financial backbone of our ERP landscape while leading a team of Functional Managers. You’ll be a key expert on our ERP systems: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management and Business Central, owning the end-to-end solution design for finance-related processes and at the same time leading, coaching and developing a team of Functional Managers who deliver day-to-day within their domains.
This is a senior role combining strong functional expertise with people leadership. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering and Finance teams, to design, build and continuously improve robust and scalable ERP finance solutions across Emma’s markets, while mentoring a highly motivated team that owns their domains independently. What you’ll do:
- Solution Design & Functional Architecture: own the end-to-end solution design for finance-related processes in MS Dynamics 365, recommending best practices and ensuring we fully leverage the standard ERP functionalities, keeping solutions scalable, compliant and aligned with Emma’s target operating model.
- Translate business needs into practical designs: execute workshops, including in-depth analysis sessions, in collaboration with a team of Business Consultants to refine and validate solution designs.
- Push back where needed to keep the solution simple and closer to Ms Dynamics standard.
- Guide delivery: direct the configuration of the ERP finance modules and coordinate developers, functional consultants and implementation partners through implementation, keeping quality high and the design intact.
- Set up and maintain governance across configuration management, environments, sandbox strategy, testing and release management, with design decisions documented, signed off and traceable.
- Lead and grow the Functional Managers team through coaching and clear feedback. Provide functional leadership and mentor team members in best practices and emerging technologies helping them confidently own their domains.
- Keep Emma’s ERP Platforms future-ready: stay ahead of D365 FSCM & BC releases and new capabilities. Support Version upgrade cycles and shape the long-term roadmap with Product and Engineering. Drive continuous improvement on how the platform and the team operate. Find what can be simplified, standardized, or automated.
Requirements
- Deep D365 Finance expertise: several years as a Solution Architect or Senior Functional Consultant on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (and ideally also Business Central), with strong depth in the Finance modules General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank Management, Tax, and financial reporting.
- Implementation track record: several full lifecycle FSCM (and/or BC) implementations, migrations, or major rollouts delivered across multiple markets and industries. Experience in the retail industry is a big advantage.
- Leadership experience: you’ve led Functional Managers or senior consultants before, and built teams that confidently own their domains
- Finance foundations: solid, end-to-end understanding of Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash and how they map to standard D365 Finance functionality.
- Clear communicator: you can switch between finance language and technology and write good solution design documents.
- Agile delivery: you’ve worked with agile methods in enterprise environments.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Business Central alongside FSCM is a big plus.
- Exposure to common FSCM and/or BC ISV solutions (e-invoicing, tax, banking, credit management).
- Familiarity with AI/ML and Copilot capabilities in the Microsoft stack.
- Hands-on experience with interfaces between D365 and other systems (APIs, integration patterns, data flows).
- Microsoft certifications in D365 Finance (e.g. MB-310, MB-700).
