Job description
Join a dynamic digital transformation team as an API Integration Engineer, where you’ll help design, build, test, and support modern integration solutions that power enterprise initiatives. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with AWS, API gateway technologies, Databricks, and microservices in a collaborative environment focused on delivering scalable, secure, and reliable solutions. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and support API-led integration solutions for enterprise applications
- Build and maintain APIs and data ingestion pipelines using AWS services and Databricks
- Contribute to the development of reusable code, templates, and integration accelerators
- Implement testing practices to validate APIs and data pipelines through unit and integration testing
- Apply API governance and security standards, including authentication, authorization, and open API practices
- Partner with engineering, architecture, and client stakeholders to shape practical integration solutions
- Support troubleshooting, monitoring, production readiness, and ongoing platform improvements
- Participate in planning, discovery, and solution discussions to align technical work with business needs
- Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, and automation practices that improve delivery quality and consistency
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building integration solutions with microservices and API-led architecture
- Strong AWS experience with practical exposure to cloud-based application or integration development
- Experience working with API gateways, including configuration, security, and support
- Working knowledge of REST API design and implementation
- Experience developing with a modern programming language
- Hands-on Java experience sufficient for building, troubleshooting, and supporting integration components
- Experience with API security, error handling, logging, resiliency, and service orchestration
- Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
- Understanding of software development standards, guidelines, and best practices
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Databricks, including Python notebooks or data pipeline development
- Exposure to GraphQL, event-driven architecture, or cloud integration tooling
- Knowledge of MuleSoft or similar integration platforms
- Terraform or infrastructure-as-code experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and production support practices
- Experience with enterprise databases such as Oracle, MySQL, Db2, MongoDB, or Cassandra
- Understanding of hybrid, cloud, or on-premise architecture patterns
- Experience with secure API standards such as OAuth 2, HTTPS, OpenAPI, and AsyncAPI
- Ability to contribute ideas, share knowledge, and promote continuous improvement
