Job description

  • Design, implement, deploy, and support IBOR platform components
  • Build scalable, high-performance backend services using Java, Spring, and SpringBoot
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
  • Work with PMs, Tech Leads, and QA on estimates, delivery, and risk management
  • Align solutions with enterprise architecture and engineering standards

AI-Integrated Development

  • Use AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot) to accelerate development and improve quality
  • Apply AI across the SDLC:
  • Code generation, refactoring, and optimization
  • Test development and automation
  • Debugging and production issue resolution
  • Documentation and knowledge capture
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity through AI-assisted workflows, We believe that in person interactions inspire and energize our community and are essential to our culture. Requirements

We are growing our engineering team and looking for highly motivated engineers to make an impact at Wellington. This is a great opportunity for an engineer to build a career and learn about IBOR (Investor Book of Record).

This position requires a high level of collaboration and interaction with our other technology partners across the department, and an ability to deliver in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of the organization., * 7 to 10+ years in systems development using Java and J2EE (currently working with Java 17; experience with version 11 will work)

  • Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
  • Solid understanding of multi-threaded applications and high-performance systems
  • Experience developing and deploying RESTful APIs
  • Experience with WebSockets, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines (especially using Jenkins) is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated use of GenAI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
  • Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting a business-critical production environment
  • Strong analysis, design, and modeling skills
  • Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies and their effective application; experience with JMeter is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

The base salary range for this position is: USD 90,000 - 180,000 This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
