Job description

  • Design analog, digital, power-supply, communication, sensor-interface, and microcontroller-based circuits.
  • Perform component selection considering performance, automotive qualification, reliability, availability, lifecycle, and cost.
  • Review and guide PCB placement, routing, stack-up, grounding, shielding, thermal management, signal integrity, and power integrity.
  • Perform circuit simulations, worst-case analysis, tolerance analysis, derating analysis, power-budget analysis, and design calculations.
  • Conduct hardware design reviews and ensure timely closure of technical findings.
  • Develop and maintain the Bill of Materials and support component obsolescence management.
  • Support prototype development, board bring-up, integration, debugging, and functional testing.
  • Define hardware verification and validation plans, test specifications, acceptance criteria, and test reports.
  • Support EMC, ESD, electrical transient, environmental, vibration, thermal, and reliability testing.
  • Investigate design, manufacturing, validation, and field issues using structured root-cause analysis.
  • Coordinate with system, software, mechanical, optics, validation, manufacturing, supplier, and customer teams.
  • Support design-for-manufacturing, design-for-testability, design-for-reliability, and production-launch activities.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior hardware engineers and offshore teams.
  • Support technical discussions, estimates, planning, customer reviews, and delivery commitments., * Translate customer and system requirements into hardware requirements, architecture, block diagrams, schematics, and detailed design documentation.
