Job description

This role is built for owners. Enterprise accounts at a fast-moving AI company shift constantly as partners learn what’s possible. We’re looking for someone who treats that as the fun part: someone who takes an evolving partner need, shapes it into new value on the platform, and drives it through without waiting for a playbook. What you’ll do

  • Own named enterprise accounts post-POC, growing them from a first use case into an expanding, referenceable partnership
  • Drive adoption and stickiness across the partner organization: more teams, more markets, more workflows, with a live map of account health, usage, and momentum
  • Surface the next use case before the partner asks, and shape it into scoped value on the platform
  • Partner with the GCE to convert realized value into references and expansion: new use cases, new business units, contracted features
  • Cultivate technical and business champions inside partner organizations and equip them to advocate for Akkio internally
  • Configure workflows and onboard teams alongside the engagement team, keeping enough hands-on depth to stay credible and useful
  • Run the operating cadence for your accounts: QBRs, executive check-ins, and status that keeps momentum visible and wins celebrated
  • Feed the field signal back: expansion patterns, feature gaps, and adoption blockers, delivered crisply to product and engineering
  • Own the account strategy for each named account: goals, challenges, KPIs, and timelines, built with the partner and kept current
  • Own the early warning on renewals: spot churn and adoption risk ahead of the renewal conversation and mitigate it with the GCE, Lead technical presales for enterprise logistics customers: discover pain points, design tailored AI-enabled solutions, run demos/POCs, map integrations, build ROI models, and present business cases to executive buyers while codifying repeatable approaches for GTM. What you need to know about the Colorado Tech Scene

With a business-friendly climate and research universities like CU Boulder and Colorado State, Colorado has made a name for itself as a startup ecosystem. The state boasts a skilled workforce and high quality of life thanks to its affordable housing, vibrant cultural scene and unparalleled opportunities for outdoor recreation. Colorado is also home to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, helping cement its status as a hub for renewable energy innovation.

Key Facts About Colorado Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 260,000; 8.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Lockheed Martin, Century Link, Comcast, BAE Systems, Level 3
  • Key Industries: Software, artificial intelligence, aerospace, e-commerce, fintech, healthtech
  • Funding Landscape: $4.9 billion in VC funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Access Venture Partners, Ridgeline Ventures, Techstars, Blackhorn Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: Colorado School of Mines, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Denver, Colorado State University, Mesa Laboratory, Space Science Institute, National Center for Atmospheric Research, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Gottlieb Institute

Requirements

  • 4+ years in customer-facing roles for enterprise software: solutions consulting, engagement management, technical account management, customer success engineering, or agency-side client leadership
  • Consulting-first: you shape ambiguous partner needs into scoped, valuable outcomes, and you’re credible in a workshop, a working session, or a boardroom
  • Growth-minded: you’ve grown accounts before, you notice the expansion signal in an ordinary conversation, and you know how to move it forward without turning into a salesperson
  • Fluent with the modern AI stack as a daily practitioner, comfortable configuring, demonstrating, and troubleshooting LLM-based and agentic systems with users of all levels
  • You know the media business from the inside, or you’re hungry to learn it fast: how agencies are structured, how planning, audience, and measurement work flows, and how to speak with strategists and analysts in their language
  • Hands-on data comfort: SQL, campaign/audience/measurement data, and enough technical depth to handle configuration and first-line troubleshooting before escalating
  • You thrive on ownership: you’ve repeatedly taken loosely defined partner needs and delivered outcomes anyway, filling gaps with judgment rather than waiting for direction

Bonus points

  • A track record of account growth or expansion revenue you can point to
  • A network across agency holding companies and independents
  • Hands-on experience building with large language models: prototypes, evals, or agent workflows you can show us
  • Previous early-stage startup experience, * Location: Remote-first company with no central office location. This position is fully remote; East Coast or New York area is preferred given our partner footprint. Regular onsites with your accounts are expected (~25% travel).

About the company

Akkio is the AI infrastructure that automates campaign workflows for the world’s largest media agencies. Our platform runs on-premises within our partners’ cloud environments, sits directly on top of their data, and enables teams to productionize agentic AI workflows at enterprise scale with full security and governance control.

Our approach already powers some of the biggest names in media. Havas is building agentic AI into Converged.AI, its global operating system, in partnership with Akkio. Horizon Media strengthened its blu. platform with Akkio. Mediaplus built Plus.AI, its global AI media planning system, on our infrastructure. LG Ad Solutions uses Akkio to unlock real-time intelligence from ACR data.

We’re a small, fast-growing team, and every person here shapes what media’s biggest players do next. How we work

We build with AI the way we expect our partners to run on it: aggressively, thoughtfully, and in production. Our customer engineering team uses AI agents every day to configure workflows on real partner data, prototype solutions, and turn a partner request into a working answer in days, not quarters.

You’ll be helping the world’s largest media agencies run their business on agentic AI, and that help only lands if you live it yourself. If you’ve rebuilt how you work around AI tools and you can show, not just tell, what agentic workflows make possible, you’ll feel at home. The opportunity

A Solutions Strategist is the person who makes the win compound, owning the account post-POC through adoption and growth. You drive adoption and stickiness, partnering with the GCE (Global Client Executive) to convert that into references and expansion.

Tactically: new workflows configured, new teams onboarded, next use cases surfaced before the partner asks. Success = value realized and expansion. Your center of gravity is the partner’s business outcome, with the product as the instrument.
