Job description
Manage and monitor the health of a large-scale VMware environment across operational and test networks, ensuring high availability of mission-critical classified systems Administer endpoints using SCCM (OS imaging, task sequences, software packaging/deployment, patch management, compliance/inventory reporting) and SCOM (real-time health, performance monitoring, and alerting) Execute vulnerability scans and IAVA/COTS patch remediation, tracking findings and documenting compliance actions in coordination with security stakeholders Lead incident response activities, including spillage handling and system reimaging across multiple classification levels Develop and maintain SOPs for imaging, security processing, account creation, and troubleshooting; provide Tier 2/3 technical support and resolve Service Desk requests including access provisioning and account management Maintain the IT asset tracking repository for hardware, software, licenses, and endpoint devices Track tasks and sprints in Jira and help facilitate Scrum stand-ups to keep team workflows on schedule
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree plus 1-4 years of relevant IT infrastructure/systems administration experience, or a Master’s degree plus 1-2 years of experience In lieu of a degree: 4 additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree; 2 additional years may substitute for a Master’s degree A customer-approved security certification: Security+, CISSP, or SSCP Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization and Windows Server administration Experience with vulnerability scanning and patch/IAVA remediation processes, Experience with Microsoft Project or formal schedule management/planning techniques Experience with Agile project planning and tools such as Jira or Microsoft Azure DevOps/TFS Familiarity with DevSecOps solutions, storage solutions, and cross domain solutions Prior military or Intelligence Community-adjacent experience
Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph required prior to start, This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time, operate standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, and telephone, and occasionally move about the work environment.
