Job description

Blu Omega is seeking an Appian Developer to support a federal program focused on supporting an Air Force modernization initiative. This role operates within a fully remote environment and is responsible for translating business needs into scalable, enterprise-level Appian solutions supporting migrating mainframe capabilities to Appian on AWS. The position requires experience supporting Appian process models, user interfaces, business rules, integrations, records, forms, and reports., * Own and deliver assigned user stories during each sprint

  • Create design documentation, participate in reviews, and implement approved solutions
  • Develop Appian features iteratively in support of system modernization
  • Coordinate with the data team regarding data models and backend requirements
  • Collaborate with testers for feature validation
  • Participate in daily standups and team ceremonies
  • Work semi-independently while contributing to team efforts

Requirements

  • At least two years of verifiable, hands-on Appian development experience
  • Experience with Appian process models, integrations, and user interfaces
  • Ability to independently own and deliver user stories
  • Experience translating requirements into design documentation
  • Knowledge of Appian APIs and backend integration patterns
  • Familiarity with Agile software delivery, including sprints and daily standups
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain an Air Force CAC
  • Physical presence within the United States
  • Availability during East Coast business hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating Appian with Oracle RDS, AWS Lambda, or similar backend services
  • Prior Department of Defense or federal government experience
  • Appian certification (Certified Developer or Senior Developer)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $125,000 per year Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and certifications.
