Job description

PRINCIPAL AVIONICS SYSTEMS ARCHITECTDuration: 24 monthsWorkload: Full-time (Monday - Friday)Setup: Freelance or EmploymentLocation: Alicante, SpainStart Date: ASAPWe are at the intersection of aerospace and advanced engineering, developing high-performance hardware and software solutions for complex, safety-critical systems.Its work supports the development of next-generation air platforms and advanced vehicles, covering everything from system design and integration through to testing, certification, and long-term support.Currently we are looking for a Principal Avionics Systems Architect to design and certify datalink and interface architectures for UAV/eVTOL platforms, ensuring deterministic behaviour, fault tolerance, and compliance with ARP**A/B, ARP, DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-160 throughout the V-model lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine avionics data architecture and interface control documents (ICDs) across CAN, UART, Ethernet, MAVLink, and RF links.Lead certification activities and safety analyses (FHA, PSSA, SSA, FMEA, FTA).Oversee integration, wiring diagrams, harness definitions, and V&V (bench/HIL/SIL, RF link testing).Required SkillsProven experience in UAV/eVTOL avionics systems architecture.Strong knowledge of ARPA/B, ARP, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160.Hands-on with data-link protocols and avionics interfaces.The next stepWe have an exceptional team in place, and we are pleased to be able to appoint a further person to our growing business.We are aware that you may not ‘tick all the boxes’, but if you believe you can genuinely offer some valuable skills and experience to our business, please in the first instance contact our recruitment partner Airswift.#J-***-Ljbffr
