Job description

Velocity AI Partners is building AI Team Members for the fitness and wellness industry. Our platform supports front-desk associates by responding to all individuals who engage with their business. All new and cold leads in under 60 seconds, help retain members, and engaging consumers across text, email, and voice. This is not a concept-stage startup. The product is live today with paying customers across multiple national franchise brands, growing recurring revenue, an enterprise pilot underway, and new clients being added weekly. We are a member of the JumpStart Ventures Software Accelerator and are preparing for our seed raise. We are looking for a Cofounder & CTO - not simply a senior developer. This person will own the technology vision, product architecture, engineering execution, and technical organization as we scale from an early commercial platform into an enterprise-grade company. WHY THIS TEAM / WHY NOW · Proven entrepreneurial track record: the founding team includes leadership with prior nine-figure business exits and experience creating significant shareholder value. · Commercial proof already exists: live product, paying franchise locations, recurring revenue, enterprise traction, and an expanding pipeline. · Founder-level business experience: the team brings experience building companies, raising capital, developing leaders, scaling operations, and navigating strategic transactions. · Large, fragmented market: tens of thousands of fitness and wellness locations have measurable revenue leakage from slow lead response, poor follow-up, and member churn. · Clear ambition: we are building for scale, institutional capital, category leadership, and a potential $300M+ outcome - not a lifestyle software business. THE ROLE As Cofounder & CTO, you will own technology company-wide. You will inherit a functioning production platform rather than a blank page. Your mandate is to strengthen it, scale it, accelerate product development, build the engineering organization, and become the technical face of the company with enterprise partners and investors. · Own product architecture, technical roadmap, infrastructure, reliability, security, and engineering standards. · Remain hands-on in the code while recruiting, leading, and developing the engineering team. · Drive integrations with franchise CRMs, booking systems, messaging platforms, and AI/LLM services. · Partner directly with the CEO and leadership team on product strategy, enterprise opportunities, fundraising, and long-term company building.

Requirements

We care more about demonstrated ownership and judgment than checking every technology box. The core requirements are: · Strong production experience with Python/Django, PostgreSQL, APIs, and modern cloud infrastructure. · Ability to work across a modern web stack, including React/TypeScript, integrations, async workflows, and third-party APIs. · Production experience with AI/LLM-enabled products, including reliability, cost, latency, evaluation, and responsible deployment. · Experience architecting and operating secure, scalable SaaS or multi-tenant systems used by real customers. · Technical leadership experience - ideally as a CTO, Head of Engineering, technical cofounder, or senior engineering leader - with the ability to hire, lead, prioritize, and ship. · Early-stage mindset: high ownership, speed, sound judgment, and willingness to remain hands-on while the company scales. COFOUNDER ECONOMICS This is an equity-first cofounder opportunity designed for someone who wants ownership and long-term enterprise value creation. The package includes 10-20% founding equity, subject to vesting, plus a structured deferred-salary program that transitions toward cash compensation as revenue grows and financing milestones are achieved. If your priority is maximizing near-term cash compensation, this is probably not the right role. If you want meaningful ownership in a revenue-generating AI company, a seat at the table, and the opportunity to help build toward a substantial exit, we should talk. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A COFOUNDER · You think like an owner, communicate like a leader, and execute like a builder. · You are energized by the combination of AI, software, entrepreneurship, and enterprise value creation. · You want your next chapter to be measured by what you helped build and own - not just your title or salary. · You are ready to commit full-time and operate with the accountability that comes with being a true cofounder.
