Technical Lead - Full Stack Java EngineerJob DescriptionAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experiencedTechnical Lead - Full Stack Java Engineerto join aCredit Riskteam.In this role, you will take ownership of business-critical applications, leading the design, development, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise solutions.You will combine technical leadership with hands?on development, ensuring applications remain secure, resilient, and highly available while supporting business operations.As a technical lead, you will mentor developers, drive best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders across technology and business teams.Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Ownership & SupportAct as the technical owner for Credit Risk applications and services.Ensure applications remain stable, secure, resilient, and available.Provide Level 3 production support for incidents, problems, and service requests.Investigate and resolve complex technical issues within agreed SLAs.Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and business teams to minimize service disruption.Design, develop, test, and implement new features, enhancements, and defect fixes.Deliver regulatory, compliance, and business?driven changes.Maintain and improve existing applications while reducing technical debt.Ensure all developments follow change management and release processes.Participate in production deployments and post?release validation.Technical LeadershipProvide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and support engineers.Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.Promote high?quality software design, testing, security, and maintainability.Drive knowledge sharing and maintain technical documentation.Stakeholder CollaborationPartner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities.Provide technical expertise during incident management and problem resolution.Collaborate with third?party vendors where required.Support audit, risk, and compliance initiatives related to managed applications.QualificationsRequired Skills & Experience7+ yearsof software development experience within enterprise environments.5+ yearsof experience performingTechnical Leadresponsibilities.5+ yearsof hands?on Java development experience.Strong backend development experience usingJava 21.Frontend development experience withAngular.Experience with:Apache MavenNode.jsRelational databasesStrong experience designing and developing:RESTful APIsMicroservicesEnterprise?scale applicationsProven experience writing unit tests and implementing automated testing practices.Solid understanding of object?oriented design principles and API best practices.Experience working with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.Strong knowledge of software security, maintainability, and development best practices.Experience designing enterprise software solutions and system architecture.English levelC1or above.Nice to HaveExperience supportingCredit Risk,Lending, or otherFinancial Servicesapplications.Knowledge of Credit Risk integrations and data processing workflows.Additional InformationHybridposition based inSpainPossibility to manage work permits.Permanent, full?time contract with career development opportunities.Chance to work in a challenging, multicultural environment with international projects.Exposure to large?scale financial IT systems and cross?country operations.Training opportunities to develop new skills in finance, technology, and data management.Talan Spain’s commitment to non?discrimination based on gender, race, ideology, or any other reason, in accordance with the company’s “Equality Plan” and the current regulations on gender equality between women and men (Royal Decree?Law **).#J-*****-Ljbffr

7+ years of software development experience within enterprise environments. 5+ years of experience performing Technical Lead responsibilities. 5+ years of hands?on Java development experience. Strong backend development experience using Java 21 . Frontend development experience with Angular . Experience with: Apache Maven Node.js Relational databases Strong experience designing and developing: RESTful APIs Microservices Enterprise?scale applications Proven experience writing unit tests and implementing automated testing practices. Solid understanding of object?oriented design principles and API best practices. Experience working with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Strong knowledge of software security, maintainability, and development best practices. Experience designing enterprise software solutions and system architecture. English level C1 or above. Nice to Have Experience supporting Credit Risk , Lending , or other Financial Services
