Software Development Manager

As a Software Development Manager, you would be leading a team to develop the software tools used within the data group, the wider company and other stakeholders. You would be part of the leadership team within the group to enable software projects are effectively developed and delivered. Your leadership will promote continuous improvement of auditable processes and working practices and help shape the strategy and roadmap for digital products.

• You’ll have demonstrable experience leading multiple agile software teams within a regulated environment.
• You’ll have a full appreciation and good understanding of the software development lifecycle, ideally for cloud applications.
• You’ll have experience of line management of junior and senior software engineers, and possibly other disciplines.

Whilst this is a non-coding role, it is expected that you’ll still be familiar with how software is written and put together, so that you can advise and mentor junior members of the team. Further, good communication skills to work with management and non-technical stakeholders is expected.
