Job description

Technical Leadership - Own the technical roadmap, guide architectural decisions, and ensure engineering excellence across backend services.
Python Engineering - Design and build robust, secure, and scalable microservices using Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
System Architecture - Lead the design of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and high-availability platforms.
Team Mentorship - Coach engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
FinTech Platform Development - Build systems for payments, trading, risk, compliance, and data intelligence.
DevOps & Cloud - Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Data & API Strategy - Oversee API design, data modelling, and integration with internal and external financial systems.
Security & Compliance - Ensure systems meet regulatory, security, and audit standards (PCI-DSS, SOC2, GDPR).

Requirements

Python Expertise - 7+ years building production systems with Python.
Microservices - Strong experience designing and scaling distributed microservice architectures.
Cloud Platforms - Deep knowledge of AWS/GCP/Azure services.
Databases - Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, or similar.
Messaging Systems - Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-streaming platforms.
CI/CD - Strong understanding of automated testing, deployment pipelines, and observability.
Leadership - Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver complex projects.
FinTech Domain Knowledge - Experience in payments, trading, banking, or financial data systems is a major advantage.
