Requirements

For this challenging role you will demonstrate experience beyond academia in both software engineering and machine learning, whether through commercial software development, research/industry partnership or extensive personal interest projects.

Join a capable, engaged and friendly team of software engineers and apply both your software engineering skills and your machine learning knowledge. This new platform builds on solid foundations, existing APIs and data sources to provide unprecedented intelligence in a much needed business area.

You will be degree-qualified with full existing UK work permission without sponsorship, and your background will include:

Extensive software engineering skills, including fluency in Python and potentially C#, JavaScript, TypeScript and/or React, one of which may be a specialty.
Prior work with machine learning / artificial intelligence algorithms, ideally in PySpark and/or TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy.
Fluency in different software development paradigms which may include functional, procedural and object-oriented, through experience.

It is advantageous to also have exposure to any of: RESTful or GraphQL web APIs, large scale data processing and statistics / analytics, relational database systems (CRUD), the AWS cloud, Docker containers and/or Elasticsearch.
