Job description

This role combines writing software in C# with hands-on development and deployment of instrumentation. You would be joining a small friendly team developing metrology instrumentation for an industrial production line. Your contribution would include developing software in C# for reading sensor data, developing algorithms to extract key parameters from the raw sensor data, and hands-on engineering of the sensors and associated equipment. On occasion, you may also travel overseas, helping install the system you have helped develop.

Requirements

  • A good degree in Physics, or a relevant Engineering subject
  • Coding skills in C# (or a similar object-oriented language)
  • A good grasp of maths and aptitude for 3D geometry
  • Full existing right to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or sponsorship

Whilst not essential, knowledge of optical design, image processing, metrology, LabView, or MATLAB would enhance your application.

Benefits & conditions

The company offers a competitive salary and benefits package, and are based in modern offices in a pleasant rural location close to Liverpool.
