Requirements
An opportunity to work on small to medium projects often related to the automotive industry. These can be solo projects, or in teams alongside other software developers and electronics engineers. Your core skill will be embedded C and getting systems up and running. Once passed that stage the project moves towards higher C++ coding to add functionality.
You will possess a good engineering degree from a well-known and respected university. During your career so far you will have gained experience that aligns with:
- Excellent knowledge of embedded C
- Good working knowledge of OO software development practises
- Knowledge of RTOS and multi-tasking interrupt based programming
- Experience with debugging/working with hardware
- Exposure to the use of software design patterns
You will join a friendly team working in countryside offices to the west of Cambridge. Your own transport (car or motorcycle) are probably your only option to get to this pleasant site. Open the windows and let true fresh air in. It is anticipated that your needs to access bench equipment may restrict days when you could remote work, but they are keen to offer home working as much as possible.
Keywords: C, Embedded, Bench Debugging, Bare Metal Programming, OO and C++, Hybrid Working, West of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire.
