Job description

A multinational FinTech company is looking to recruit Software Developers to join their Cambridge team and work on a range of new applications and features on a mobile platform. Members of the team can work either at home or in the office with the expectation that they can be in the office when required.

Requirements

For the mobile products, these are mostly written in Dart using Flutter with older code in Objective-C, Swift and Kotlin. Backend code is written in a variety of languages including Kotlin, Java and Golang, with a current approach to utilise Rust. The company in general in technology-agnostic, using the best tools available for their development and builds., * Degree in Computer Science or similar (graduates will be considered if they have relevant programming / project experience).

  • Experience working on all aspects of mobile app development (Kotlin, Java, Rust, Golang, Flutter, Dart or Objective-C / Swift) including microservices, REST APIs (using Kafka, Kubernetes and Google Cloud), databases (ideally PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, and BigQuery), and web interfaces (using Angular or React).
  • General Python coding skills (as this in the technology used for data manipulation and tooling).

Depending on seniority, experience of reviewing and mentoring of junior team members is expected for more senior candidates.
