Job description

This innovative team working on large-scale high energy shock physics experiments are looking to recruit talented scientists and engineers to help them further develop their equipment and methodologies. You will be using their cutting-edge in-house hydrodynamic and magneto-hydrodynamic solvers to design new components and to make improvements to their systems.

Requirements

  • A PhD closely related to high energy shock physics, or equivalent industrial experience backed with a Physics or Engineering degree from a top university.
  • Programming skills in Python for simulation automation and data analysis.
  • Additional skills and experience with C++, Fortran, and/or machine learning are beneficial but not required.

Alongside the requirements outlined above, you will need to demonstrate your inventiveness as you will be tasked with creating entirely new designs to solve problems that haven’t been considered previously.

You will be working in a friendly and relaxed environment with people who truly believe their work will change the world for the better. On offer is a generous pension, relocation support, enhanced parental leave and a share option scheme.
