Manager, Data Governance

• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in large-scale data or project management experience
• Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection is also required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Management from an accredited institution required
• In lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience is required for this position. This experience is in addition to the minimum years listed in the Experience Requirements above.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Management from an accredited institution preferred
• Certified Data Management Professional (CFMP) required, * Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
• Knowledge of data quality and data protection management practices including those related to the management of healthcare data (i.e., PHI/PII, HIPAA, etc.)
• Knowledge of data quality and data protection management practices, including those related to the management of healthcare data (i.e., PHI/PII, HIPAA, etc.) preferred
• Highly developed skills in priority setting and alignment of project priorities with departmental strategy
• Highest personal and professional integrity and strong work ethics

This role leads initiatives to establish and enforce data policies, standards, and practices across the organization, ensuring data quality, compliance, and security of core data domains, including PII/PHI. The Manager, Data Governance collaborates with cross-functional teams, drives the adoption of data governance frameworks, manages data stewardship efforts, and facilitates day-to-day data-related decision-making processes.
