Job description

A senior contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Infrastructure, Cloud and Cyber leader to support a high-profile M&A transformation programme.

Operating at Principal or Director level, the successful candidate will provide strategic architecture leadership across infrastructure separation, consolidation and integration. The role will involve working closely with executives, advisors and private equity stakeholders, turning incomplete due diligence information into pragmatic designs, clear architecture decisions and executable transition plans.

This position requires someone who can combine senior stakeholder credibility with strong technical depth across cloud, hosting, workplace technology, identity, networks and cybersecurity.

Requirements

  • Significant M&A technology experience, ideally covering infrastructure separation, consolidation or post-merger integration
  • Proven experience operating at Principal, Director, Chief Architect or equivalent level
  • Strong infrastructure and hosting strategy expertise
  • Architecture and migration experience across Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, identity, workplace technology and network integration
  • Experience defining Day 1 readiness plans and supporting managed-service transitions
  • The ability to facilitate architecture decisions involving executives, advisors, private equity stakeholders and technical teams
  • Experience working effectively with incomplete or evolving due diligence information
  • A track record of translating strategic requirements into pragmatic designs, roadmaps and executable plans
  • Strong cybersecurity knowledge would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and decision-making skills
  • Facilities management, building services or field-services sector experience would be beneficial but is not essential

Benefits & conditions

  • £800-£900 per day
  • Inside IR35
  • Initial three-month contract with likely extension
  • Hybrid working in London
  • ASAP start
  • Director-level influence across a major M&A transformation
  • Opportunity to shape infrastructure, cloud and cyber strategy from diligence through to execution
