Job description

This is a Java development role within a company that runs its product as a service - SaaS. They have leading understanding of the internet and how to make the most advanced products for their customers. Customer access is through specialist APIs that you will design to integrate backend and frontend systems dynamically. Continuous integration and continuous delivery is important for this product.

Since the start of the pandemic the employees of this company have been working from their homes. They have found this to be effective and are now happy to recruit people who will permanently work remotely within the UK. This assists with occasional trips either to London or Belfast offices.

Requirements

You will have a good technical degree from a respected university and your skill base will include:

Strong Java development for scalable backend infrastructure
Knowledge of Spring Boot and Hibernate
Understanding of JSON and REST
Development on Linux operating systems
Exposure to message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar)
Knowledge of distributed systems and architectures
Comfortable with Agile development
