Software Engineer

• Numerate background (degree in computer science, maths, physics or similar), and demonstrable commercial project experience coding in Python or JavaScript.
• Will consider themselves a Full-Stack developer and know their way around front-end or back-end development well (possibly be highly competent in both).
• Experience with cloud platforms (ideally AWS).
• Will have the experience to lead projects and mentor junior developers.
• Exposure to modern cloud / web development tools including: Docker, REST, React, Redux, ElasticSearch, Lambdas, Terraform.

This is an exciting time to be joining this team as they are part of the next wave of projects within the company. An excellent remunerations package is available; and being a forward-thinking, progressive company, they will consider remote working for employees (although there will be times when they do need to be in their Cambridge office).

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a team based within this Cambridge company. Their key projects revolve around the build and development of a cloud platform that is used for in-house monitoring and analytics for autonomous systems.

The team typically use Python and have been known to use JavaScript on occasion. The developers are not wedded to any language and are likely to be able to quickly pick up new technologies when required. More importantly is the understanding of how commercial software is built from requirements gathering to design and deployment.
