Sr Java full stack developer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr Java full stack developer(Sr Java Developer (50% front end -React +50% backends) for a Contract job with a client in Chicago IL . Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry .

candidates who have worked on Anti Money laundering (MUST) /AML - Highly preferred

Java - more that 50%

React - 50%

AWS- 100%

Python and ETL pipeline, this is a PLUS

Hiring Process:

IV: 1 round interview - interviews will be scenario based

Must-Have

Backend

• Java (Spring Boot)

• Python (ETL, data pipelines, scripting)

• REST API design

Frontend

• React, TypeScript

Cloud / Infrastructure

• AWS (S3, IAM, RDS, Glue, Lambda, CloudWatch, OpenSearch)

• Terraform or CDK

Data

• SQL (PostgreSQL / MySQL)

• Snowflake or Delta Lake a plus

DevOps / Delivery

• Git, CI/CD pipelines

• Agile

Nice-to-Have

• AML / financial crimes domain experience

• Spark / PySpark

• Airflow / workflow orchestration

• PCI / CAT1 data handling

• Kafka / event-driven architecture

Soft Skills

• Comfortable in regulated environments with security/compliance requirements

• Cross-team collaboration

• Ability to ramp quickly 8-month fixed window

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree

• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)

• At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
