Who We AreWe don’t just develop embedded software - we engineer intelligence into products.The Embedded Competence Center at NTT DATA Romania brings together experts in embedded systems, firmware development, and hardware-software integration, delivering robust and high-performance solutions for complex, safety-critical environments.With strong expertise in C/C++, AUTOSAR, real-time operating systems, and communication protocols, we design scalable embedded architectures, integrate software seamlessly with hardware, and ensure compliance with industry standards.Across the industries we support - from Automotive and Industrial Automation to Smart Devices and IoT - we transform reliable embedded technology into a foundation for innovative, dependable products.We’re looking for an experienced and motivated System Engineer to support the development of complex automotive systems and products.In this role, you will contribute to system definition, requirements management, architecture development, technical coordination, and product integration throughout the development lifecycle, from concept to production.You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and customers to ensure that technical requirements, system performance, safety, quality, and project objectives are successfully achieved.What You’ll Be DoingLead and support end-to-end system engineering activities across automotive development programsDefine, analyze, document, and manage system and customer requirements using requirements management toolsEnsure requirements traceability, consistency, completeness, and alignment throughout the product development lifecycleDevelop and maintain system architecture, interfaces, and functional conceptsPerform and support system safety, reliability, and risk analysis activities, including DFMEA and FTACoordinate closely with hardware, software, mechanical, validation, and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful system integrationAct as a technical interface for customers and internal stakeholders, supporting technical reviews, requirement clarifications, and issue resolutionManage development documentation, work items, configuration, and traceability using engineering lifecycle management toolsSupport Functional Safety and Cybersecurity-related engineering activities in accordance with applicable automotive standardsParticipate in design reviews, technical assessments, audits, and risk management activitiesSupport problem-solving and root cause analysis for system-level issuesContribute to continuous improvement of system engineering processes, methods, and development practicesWhat You’ll Bring AlongDegree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical fieldExperience in system engineering within automotive or another complex product development environmentStrong knowledge of requirements management, traceability, and system development processesHands-on experience with system risk and reliability analysis methods such as DFMEA and FTAExperience working with cross-functional engineering teamsAbility to interact with customers and stakeholders in a technical environmentExperience with requirements and lifecycle management toolsGood understanding of automotive development processes and product lifecycle activitiesBasic understanding of Functional Safety and Cybersecurity principles and applicable automotive standardsStrong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skillsGood command of English, both written and spokenExperience in automotive electrification, power electronics, energy management, embedded systems, or similar technical domains is nice to haveKnowledge of ISO **, Automotive SPICE, and automotive cybersecurity standards is nice to haveFamiliarity with system integration, verification, and validation activities is nice to have#J-**-Ljbffr

Requirements

Experience in system engineering within automotive or another complex product development environment Strong knowledge of requirements management, traceability, and system development processes Hands-on experience with system risk and reliability analysis methods such as DFMEA and FTA Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams Ability to interact with customers and stakeholders in a technical environment Experience with requirements and lifecycle management toolsGood understanding of automotive development processes and product lifecycle activities Basic understanding of Functional Safety and Cybersecurity principles and applicable automotive standards Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills Good command of English, both written and spoken Experience in automotive electrification, power electronics, energy management, embedded systems, or similar technical domains is nice to have Knowledge of ISO **, Automotive SPICE, and automotive cybersecurity standards is nice to have Familiarity with system integration, verification, and validation activities is nice to have #J-**-Ljbffr
