Job description

  • You advise energy utilities, grid operators, and other stakeholders in the energy sector on regulatory, technical, and digital challenges.
  • You analyze requirements arising from grid regulation and derive practical recommendations for action.
  • You support projects in the fields of power grids, high-voltage engineering, smart grids, and digital grid infrastructures.
  • You contribute to the development of grid strategies, digitalization roadmaps, and investment plans.
  • You assess the technical, economic, and regulatory impacts of emerging technologies and evolving market requirements.
  • You work on solutions for the integration of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), flexibility options, and energy management systems.
  • You support clients in the implementation and further development of data platforms, digital processes, and data-driven decision-making models.
  • You analyze applications of artificial intelligence, digital grid control concepts, and intelligent energy systems.
  • You collaborate closely with business units, grid operators, technology partners, and regulatory authorities.
  • You prepare analyses, concepts, and decision-making materials for our clients.
  • You contribute your expertise to interdisciplinary project teams consisting of energy, IT, and digitalization specialists.

Requirements

  • You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
  • You have at least two to three years of professional experience in the energy sector, a grid-related environment, or technology-driven companies.
  • Ideally, you have gained experience working with an energy utility or grid operator.
  • You are familiar with the fundamentals of grid regulation, energy markets, and current transformation processes within the energy industry.
  • You possess knowledge of grid technology, high-voltage engineering, smart grids, or digital grid control systems.
  • Ideally, you have experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), energy management systems, flexibility markets, or the integration of distributed energy resources.
  • You have a strong interest in digitalization, data platforms, automation, and the application of AI in the energy sector.
  • You work independently, analytically, and in a solution-oriented manner.
  • You communicate confidently in both German and English.
  • You enjoy client interaction, project work, and developing innovative solutions for the energy systems of the future.
