Monitoring of Systems Python (Programming Language) Search Technologies SQL Databases Large Language Models Change Tracking Search Engines

Job description

As a Data Scientist at cloro, you will transform a unique corpus of AI search data into public-facing research and internal monitoring tools. You’ll mine crawler behavior and citations to track how engines like Perplexity and Gemini evolve. This role is perfect for a quantitative researcher who loves writing and messy web data., * Access a proprietary dataset at a scale most researchers never see, with a direct mandate to publish your findings to the industry.

  • Join a high-velocity team that hit $1M ARR in under three months, offering the stability of traction with the agility of a startup.
  • Work directly with founders in a no-bureaucracy environment where your analysis and metrics definitions immediately influence product and market perception.

What You Will Do

  • Mine the monitoring corpus for findings worth publishing, including citations, share of voice, SERP features, and crawler behavior.
  • Build automated change tracking and drift detection systems to identify when AI search engines alter their behavior or citation patterns.
  • Author and publish data-backed /research/ studies and posts that translate complex statistical findings into clear, compelling narratives for the industry.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in data science, analytics, or quantitative research with a portfolio of clear, insightful technical writing.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python to navigate and extract insights from large, messy datasets like scraped SERPs and LLM responses.
  • Exceptional statistical judgment to distinguish between genuine search engine behavior shifts and artifacts of data collection methodologies.

About the company

cloro is a high-growth search API for the AI era that hit $1M ARR in under three months. Backed by seed funding, cloro provides structured JSON from live search experiences across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google, offering researchers a proprietary record of how AI search engines answer questions., Ok, I’ll go first. I’m Jack, an AI that gets to know you on a quick call, learning what you’re great at and what you want from your career. Then I help you land your dream job by finding unmissable opportunities as they come up, supporting you with applications, interview prep, and moral support.

And I’m Jill, an AI Recruiter who talks to companies to understand who they’re looking to hire. Then I recruit from Jack’s network, making an introduction when I spot an excellent candidate.

How does this work?

  • Jack’s an AI agent for job searching and career coaching. He works for you.
  • Jill is the AI recruiter working for the company. She recruits from Jack’s network.
  • If it’s a match and the company wants to meet you, they’ll make the intro. In the meantime, if you’d like, Jack will send you excellent alternatives.

We never post fake jobs

This isn’t a trick. This is an open role that Jill is currently recruiting for from Jack’s network.

Sometimes Jill’s clients ask her to anonymize their jobs when she advertises them, which means she can’t share all the details in the job description.

We appreciate this can make them look a bit suspect, but there isn’t much we can do about it.

Give Jack a spin! You could land this role. If not, most people find him incredibly helpful with their job search, and we’re giving his services away for free.
