Job description

As a Gogo Business Aviation Airborne Platform Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing production quality software for Gogo BA airborne products on a Linux platform. You will develop new features, enhance existing software components, and test feature functionality on both existing products and our Next Generation 5G Air to Ground solution. You will be part of an experienced development team that integrates closely with other teams across the company. \n \n \nDo you want to work with people who are experts in their field and have fun working together?

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience \n
  • 3-5 years of software development experience, preferably in a Linux or embedded systems environment \n

\n \nREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TALENTS \n \n \n

  • Experience with Node.js and Node Express \n
  • Skilled with npm package manager \n
  • Has worked with AngularJS and ReactJS \n
  • Understanding of RESTFUL APIs \n
  • Database experience with MongoDB and Mongoose middleware for Mongo and Node \n
  • Knowledge in Python and/or BASH \n

  • Design and develop front-end GUI software features for new products or extend design of existing products, including selection and integration of third-party technologies, particularly open source \n
  • Conduct design reviews and participate in code inspections \n
  • Assist in development of automated unit tests \n
  • Provide estimates for design and feature development \n
  • Track project stories/tasks, provide status, and ensure stories/tasks are completed on schedule \n
  • Continually improve design, development, and test processes \n
