IT Transition Manager - German Speaking

Join a specialist consulting practice focused on enterprise-wide IT transformation projects, Travel regularly to client sites, gaining exposure to diverse industries and operating models, As an IT Transition Manager, you will own the end-to-end transition of in-scope IT systems, applications, and services into the target GBS and Shared Services operating model. You will act as the primary point of contact for IT stakeholders in Germany, leading transition planning, knowledge transfer, cutover, and stabilisation activities. This role requires you to operate within a structured programme governance framework, managing risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring transitions are delivered in a controlled, auditable, and compliant manner. You will work closely with system owners, retained IT teams, and senior business stakeholders to define target-state operating models and resolve integration, infrastructure, and service delivery gaps.

Responsibilities

* Lead end-to-end transition of IT systems, applications, and services into the GBS model

* Manage transition planning, knowledge transfer, cutover, and stabilisation for each in-scope system

* Own the RAID log for the IT workstream, resolving issues and escalating risks

* Support the design of standardised IT operating models aligned to GBS standards

* Identify integration, infrastructure, and service delivery gaps during transition

* Work with system and process owners to define target-state controls and support models

* Act as the primary contact for IT stakeholders in Germany

* Lead workshops, steering updates, and status reporting with senior stakeholders, While specific benefits have not been disclosed at this stage, you will work on a high-profile, complex transformation programme that will develop your expertise in GBS operating models, multi-country IT transitions, and senior stakeholder engagement. * Fluent German and English, both written and spoken

* Willing and able to travel to and work on-site in Germany for extended periods

* Experience managing multi-country, multi-stakeholder transitions

* Strong project management, RAID, and governance discipline

* Excellent senior stakeholder management skills

* Experience engaging with German works councils or employee representative bodies is desirable

* Cutover, knowledge transfer, and stabilisation expertise
