Job description

Quevera is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer - Java & Kubernetes with an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to support mission-critical programs in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

In this role, you will support an ongoing software development effort focused on productizing a mission-focused product suite for deployment beyond the current customer environment and across the broader Department of Defense (DoD) community. The effort involves removing customer-specific dependencies, abstracting environment-specific configurations, and developing interfaces that enable authorization workflows and key management operations across a variety of customer environments.

The development effort impacts major components of the ecosystem, including clients, Portal, Proxy services, and OpenBao-based key management services., * Support the productization of a mission-focused software suite for deployment beyond the current customer environment and across the broader DoD community.

  • Remove customer-specific dependencies and abstract environment-specific configurations.
  • Develop interfaces that enable authorization workflows and key management operations across a variety of customer environments.
  • Support development efforts across clients, Portal, Proxy services, and OpenBao-based key management services.
  • Support the development of Encryption Libraries and Key Management Services.
  • Establish and apply best practices to support successful implementation of solution designs.
  • Collaborate with project teams through communication, planning documentation, system testing, and defect resolution.
  • Participate in project planning and project status communications.

Requirements

  • United States citizenship required.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Eight (8) years of equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience with Java, JavaScript, and Kubernetes.
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience with modern development practices and testing.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodology.
  • Experience with encryption and an understanding of key management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience as a contractor in the Intelligence Community.
  • Experience with C or C++.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience with REST APIs.
  • AWS experience.
  • Spring experience.
  • Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience.
  • Experience with containerization and Kubernetes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to follow through, stay motivated, and collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
