Job description

The ADMS Solution Architect will provide technical leadership for the architecture, design, and integration of Operational Technology (OT) network infrastructure supporting Client’s Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) modernization initiatives. This role is responsible for designing secure, resilient, and highly available network architectures supporting ADMS and integrated utility systems, including SCADA, OMS, DMS, DERMS, GIS, Historian, ICCP, and enterprise platforms. The architect will collaborate closely with Grid Operations, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, SCADA Engineering, Vendors, and Utility stakeholders to deliver reliable real-time operational environments., * Design secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures supporting ADMS and Utility OT environments.

  • Develop network topology diagrams, communication path designs, firewall architectures, segmentation strategies, redundancy models, and high-availability solutions.
  • Document IP addressing schemes, routing strategies, interface mappings, firewall rules, and infrastructure standards.
  • Support the architecture and integration of one or more operational technology platforms, including ADMS, SCADA, OMS, DMS, DERMS, GIS, Historian, ICCP, or equivalent utility systems.
  • Design communication paths supporting telemetry, control center connectivity, and real-time operational data flows.
  • Support hybrid enterprise and OT infrastructure integration.
  • Design secure OT/IT boundary architectures and network segmentation.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to implement firewall policies, secure communications, and compliance-aligned network designs.
  • Participate in disaster recovery, resiliency planning, failover testing, and operational readiness assessments.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical design sessions, infrastructure planning, and implementation activities.
  • Review vendor deliverables and technical documentation.
  • Support system testing, validation, production readiness, and deployment planning.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Network Architecture, OT Infrastructure, or mission-critical Operational Technology environments.
  • Strong experience designing LAN/WAN architectures, routing, switching, VLANs, network segmentation, redundancy, failover, and high-availability solutions.
  • Experience designing or supporting Operational Technology (OT) network environments.
  • Experience with enterprise firewall platforms such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of secure OT/IT boundary architectures and industrial cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience documenting network architectures, IP schemas, routing designs, firewall rules, and technical infrastructure standards.
  • Experience supporting virtualization technologies such as VMware and enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
