Job description
Twin Valley is seeking an Operational Readiness Specialist to help ensure our employees, crews, and contractors have the tools, vehicles, inventory, facilities, equipment, and vendor support needed to work safely and efficiently. This position coordinates day-to-day readiness across inventory, fleet, facilities, and purchasing while improving visibility, preventing avoidable disruptions, and supporting scalable operations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable working across departments, and interested in using technology and approved AI tools to simplify recurring work and improve accuracy., * Coordinate operational readiness activities and identify resource gaps before they affect field operations.
- Maintain readiness records, reports, dashboards, metrics, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels, usage data, work schedules, and purchasing needs; conduct periodic inventories and help prevent shortages or overstock.
- Receive and verify shipments, organize warehouse materials, and issue inventory, tools, and equipment to employees and contractors.
- Support approved purchasing by obtaining pricing and availability, requesting quotes, coding invoices, coordinating returns, and maintaining records.
- Track fleet readiness and compliance; perform vehicle inspections; schedule maintenance and repairs; maintain required Kansas Department of Transportation and insurance documentation.
- Support fleet lifecycle decisions involving acquisition, utilization, preventive maintenance, replacement, and resale.
- Inspect buildings and grounds, coordinate preventive maintenance and approved repairs, monitor open facility issues, and communicate status updates.
- Work with Operations, Installation & Repair, Accounting, vendors, and service providers to resolve routine needs and keep work moving.
- Identify process improvements and use approved technology, automation, and AI tools to improve forecasting, reminders, reporting, work routing, and operational visibility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience required; associate degree in electronics, telecommunications, business, supply chain, operations, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in inventory, fleet, facilities, purchasing, telecommunications, or operations coordination preferred.
- Strong planning, organization, communication, customer service, follow-through, judgment, and attention to detail.
- Experience with common office productivity tools, including email, calendars, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Ability to use hand and power tools; experience reading blueprints, maps, or similar drawings preferred.
- Experience with trucks, bucket trucks, forklifts, or other construction equipment is helpful.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
- Ability to travel to company and customer locations and perform the position’s essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
