Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend Java applications with a focus on scalability and multithreading
  • Write clean, modular, production-quality code aligned with engineering best practices
  • Act as a hands-on individual contributor, owning development tasks end-to-end
  • Build and execute unit tests independently to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Contribute to and enhance automated testing frameworks (BDD/TDD approaches preferred)
  • Perform system, integration, and regression testing across backend services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a messaging-based architecture
  • Collaborate within a POD to deliver high-quality solutions with minimal oversight
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Cucumber
  • Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible
  • Work within Unix/Linux environments for development and deployment activities
  • Participate in code reviews and continuously improve development and testing processes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
  • Strong expertise in Core Java and multithreading
  • Proven ability to work as an independent contributor with minimal supervision
  • Experience writing unit tests and performing independent testing
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles
  • Experience with automation testing (Cucumber required)
  • Solid experience working in Unix/Linux environments
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Ansible
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Experience working on backend or messaging-based systems (no UI required)
