Job description

We are looking for a proactive and dedicated IT Security Analyst to join our IT Security team, helping to monitor and investigate threats, conduct proactive threat hunting and strengthen our overall security posture. Working closely with infrastructure, development teams and security partners, you’ll play a key role in threat remediation and improving our security processes and documentation., * Monitor, investigate and respond to security alerts using a range of security tools, including EDR.

  • Conduct threat hunting and security investigations to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Strengthen the organisation’s security posture through improved controls and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, regulations and recognised frameworks such as ISO and NIST.
  • Produce security reports and work with infrastructure and development teams to remediate threats.
  • Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Experience in incident response, forensic investigation and threat remediation, including targeted attacks.
  • Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, macOS and Android systems.
  • Experience with scripting/programming, particularly PowerShell and Python.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks including ISO 27001 and NIST CSF.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, SIEM, Zscaler, Mimecast, Cisco, Azure, AWS, Cloudflare and Jamf.
  • Strong communication, organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC or SC-900 are advantageous but not essential.
