Job description
SYSTEMTEC is seeking a System Support Administrator for a on-site opportunity in State College, PA. Candidate will provide hands-on system administration and infrastructure support for a web-based enterprise application environment, ensuring stable day-to-day operations across workstations, networks, and production systems. This role focuses on monitoring system performance, maintaining secure connectivity, supporting end users, and assisting with troubleshooting and production issue resolution in a fast-paced office environment., * Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, applications, and infrastructure systems.
- Monitor scheduled batch processes, system performance, and backup operations.
- Support wired and wireless network connectivity across the office environment.
- Administer cloud-based user accounts and collaboration tools such as Google Workspace.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system issues while coordinating with technical teams as needed.
- Participate in system testing, documentation, and operational support activities including disaster recovery readiness.
Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, infrastructure support, or related technical roles.
- Experience with workstation deployment, OS imaging, hardware troubleshooting, and desktop support.
- Proficiency in administering Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Working knowledge of wired and wireless network environments.
- Experience supporting user account management and cloud-based collaboration platforms such as Google Workspace.
- Ability to monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and support production uptime in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills/Experience of System Support Administrator:
- Experience with Docker or containerized application environments.
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud computing platforms.
- Familiarity with Ubiquiti networking equipment.
- Knowledge of endpoint security, malware prevention, and IT security best practices.
- Experience supporting backup operations, disaster recovery activities, or production release processes.
