Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer to join our team in San Leandro, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing Android applications using Java and Kotlin, along with a solid understanding of microservices and RESTful APIs., * Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications.

Develop scalable and maintainable mobile solutions using Kotlin and Java.
Work closely with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and backend developers.
Integrate Android applications with REST APIs and microservices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
Participate in code reviews and follow established coding and development standards.
Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions.
Implement secure, reliable, and user-friendly mobile applications.
Collaborate with backend teams to support seamless integration between mobile applications and microservices.

Requirements

Strong professional experience in Android application development.
Excellent hands-on experience with Kotlin and Java.
Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and Android application architecture.
Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices.
Understanding of JSON, API integration, authentication, and client-server communication.
Experience with Git and standard software development practices.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
