Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Software Configuration Specialist to join our Technology team. You’ll work across Engineering, QA, DevOps, Product, and Customer Support to ensure software environments are properly configured, documented, tested, and deployed.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of software configuration, release management, SaaS, DevOps, and embedded systems., * Configure and maintain software applications, environments, and system settings

  • Manage configuration baselines across development, testing, staging, and production environments
  • Ensure configuration changes are accurate, documented, traceable, and properly approved
  • Support software releases, builds, and deployment activities
  • Maintain configuration records, versioning, and release documentation
  • Partner with Software Engineering and QA to ensure consistency across builds and environments
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, configuration documentation, and technical runbooks
  • Support multi-tenant SaaS environments, including feature flags and application settings
  • Assist with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
  • Maintain configuration matrices and traceability across embedded systems
  • Troubleshoot configuration-related issues across multiple environments
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Support implementation and customer-facing teams with configuration issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve configuration management tools, automation, and processes
  • Ensure configuration practices align with internal security and change-management standards

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software configuration, systems support, application support, release management, or a related technical role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience working within a software development or SaaS environment
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
  • Understanding of structured software release and deployment processes
  • Experience with configuration and environment management
  • Exposure to embedded or real-time systems
  • Understanding of change control and software deployment processes
  • Experience supporting enterprise, on-premises, SaaS, or hybrid environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple configurations and environments simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and customer-facing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
  • Experience with configuration management tools
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum environments
  • Basic scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Exposure to AWS and/or Azure
  • Experience with MongoDB
  • Familiarity with ITIL or formal change-management practices
  • Experience supporting Linux-based embedded systems
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise software platforms
