Job description

FlexStaff is actively seeking a Data Engineer III for our client on a temp to hire remote basis to design, develop, and maintain our organizational data architecture., This pivotal role focuses on T-SQL development, ETL processes, and Python scripting to ensure efficient data transfer, transformation, and integration. Key responsibilities include automating data workflows, supporting diverse file formats (such as flat file, XML, JSON, X12, Excel, and Parquet), and utilizing APIs for seamless data import and export., Job Purpose: Design, develop, and maintain data architecture using T-SQL, ETL, and Python scripting, focusing on automating data workflows, diverse file formats, and API integration., * Utilize advanced T-SQL for database design, optimization, and complex queries.

  • Design, implement, and optimize ETL processes with Python scripting.
  • Automate SFTP file transfers and handle various data formats (XML, JSON, X12, Excel, Parquet) using Python.
  • Integrate with APIs using Python for data import/export.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, document processes, and use Git/Github for version control.
  • Integrate Tableau for data representation and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in T-SQL development, ETL processes, and Python scripting for data manipulation and automation.
  • Strong expertise in database design, optimization, SFTP automation, diverse file formats, and API integration with Python.
  • Proficient in Git and Github.

Preferred Skills: Experience in data visualization using Tableau, strong problem-solving, ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, and excellent communication skills.
