Are you passionate about testing both digital and physical products?

Do you thrive in hands-on environments where your work directly impacts lives?

Ready to join a fast-paced team building something truly transformative?

Join Our Client as a QA Engineer - London (Hybrid) Up to £50K + Equity

Our client, an ambitious and mission-driven technology company, is seeking a talented QA Engineer to help shape the future of an innovative assistive solution. Based in London and backed by cutting-edge research, this startup is developing a revolutionary product blending software, sensors, and AR. It is creating a real-world impact for users globally.

This is your chance to take ownership in a multidisciplinary environment where software meets hardware. Every test you run brings the team one step closer to launching something meaningful.

Why This Role is Great

  • Work at the frontier of innovation: Be instrumental in validating a unique iOS-powered, sensor-integrated product.
  • Get hands-on across tech stacks: Design and run tests for both software (Swift/iOS) and custom-built physical devices.
  • Shape quality culture: Build and lead quality assurance practices that touch every part of the development lifecycle.
  • Drive process improvement: Create regression suites, establish automation frameworks, and support firmware QA cycles.
  • Real-world testing: Support the setup of robust testing workflows that replicate real-life usage conditions.
  • Collaborative engineering culture: Work directly with mobile developers, hardware specialists, and product leads.

About You

You’ll be joining a small but mighty team, and your impact will be tangible from day one. This role will suit someone who:

  • Has a solid foundation in QA or test engineering (3+ years), ideally from a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Knows their way around iOS testing (XCTest, Xcode), and is comfortable reading Swift.
  • Enjoys working with real-world devices, especially if you’ve tested hardware like sensors or embedded systems.
  • Brings experience in test automation (Appium or Python-based tools preferred).
  • Thrives independently and brings structure where needed.
  • Is excited to be on-site in London most days, with flexibility built in.

Bonus Points If You’ve Worked With:

  • Assistive technology, medical devices, or haptic systems
  • CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
  • Cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
  • Accessibility testing or usability studies
  • Competitive salary up to £50,000
  • Potential for equity participation
  • Complimentary lunch (and dinner if you stay late)
  • Access to a fully equipped workshop (3D printing, CNC machining)
  • Office located 5 minutes from the Jubilee Line
  • Regular socials and top-notch local amenities (gym, climbing wall, and more)
