Qualified Technical Architect (Manchester)
- STUDIO LOCATION Manchester
We are seeking a Chartered Architectural Technologist or Qualified Architect with 3+ years experience to join our Manchester team.
At ADP, youâll have the opportunity to develop your skills in a chosen sector or as an all-rounder, working with our cross-practice specialists in sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare and education design. Youâll also be able to work on projects that truly benefit their communities, from large laboratory buildings to mixed-use developments, sensitive refurbishments to envelope-pushing new builds, ÂŁ100m high-profile schemes to local grassroots projects. Recent highlights include the transformation of an Art Deco Debenhams store into the University of Gloucestershireâs city campus and delivering our award-winning GP Surgery in Hackney, The Portico.

The Role
- Assisting with the technical design elements of projects.
- Producing strong effective designs with appropriate competent technical solutions that align with our vision.
- Taking responsibility for the production, coordination and integrity of project-specific information.
- Taking responsibility for all project-specific quality management tasks.
- Ensuring that all work is prepared in accordance with the practiceâs BIM standards and protocols and maintaining a detailed knowledge of BIM processes and software associated with design.
- Ensuring that the service is delivered in accordance with the quality management system.
- Regularly reviewing the design against the project brief and participating in design reviews.
- Maintaining detailed knowledge of current legislation, regulations and standards.
- Maintaining detailed knowledge of modern methods of construction.
- Maintaining suitable knowledge of sector specific regulations and legislation.
- Maintaining a clear understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of practices procedures/methods.
- Consider CDM and health and safety in all our design work, and work to design out and minimise risk.
About you
- Have good technical understanding, with experience producing RIBA stage 3 and 4 packages.
- Competent in Revit and Enscape.
- Experience or interest in Healthcare and/or Science architecture would be an advantage.
