Job description

Overview

London - on-site, 5 days per week. Full-time role requiring 2-5 years’ experience.

About the Company

I am working with an early-stage, venture-backed energy technology startup that is building the intelligence layer for the electrification of real estate and infrastructure. Their platform uses geospatial analytics and machine learning to help investors, developers and operators identify the best opportunities for deploying EV charging, solar and battery storage, accelerating the global energy transition. They are backed by leading European VCs and led by a team with experience at Tesla, Palantir and CBRE. Having recently raised a significant pre-seed round, they are now scaling their engineering team.

The Role

My client is looking for a talented Frontend Engineer with strong experience in React, Next.js and TypeScript. This person will design and build the user interfaces that power their platform, from exploratory data tools to interactive dashboards. A major part of the role will be contributing to a frontend migration project that modernises existing codebases.

The position is based on-site in London, 5 days per week, working closely with product managers, designers and backend engineers.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop high-quality, scalable frontends using React, Next.js and TypeScript
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a major migration project, modernising existing frontend codebases
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers and backend engineers to build seamless user experiences
  • Optimise application performance and ensure responsiveness across devices
  • Write clean, maintainable and testable code, following best practices

About You

  • 2-5 years’ experience as a frontend or fullstack engineer
  • Strong expertise in React, Next.js and TypeScript
  • Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management and UI/UX principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an outcome-oriented mindset
  • A degree from a leading university in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential)
  • Excited by working in a fast-paced startup environment and motivated by the mission to accelerate electrification
