This is a high-impact technical leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for cyber security, lawful intercept, and secure communications architecture across mission operations, network infrastructure, and spacecraft systems. You will act as the primary technical authority for security design, ensuring resilience, compliance, and operational integrity are embedded throughout the full programme lifecycle.
You will shape and govern the security architecture of a complex, multi-domain satellite communications environment, covering mission operations centres, core networks, gateway infrastructure, and onboard spacecraft systems. The role also includes significant involvement in regulatory compliance and security assurance activities for government and commercially sensitive environments., * Lead the design and implementation of lawful intercept capabilities across gateway and terrestrial network environments
- Define and maintain the overall cyber security architecture across mission operations, network control systems, core networks, and ground infrastructure
- Ensure data sovereignty, localisation, and regulatory requirements are embedded into system and network design
- Lead space segment security design, including command authentication, anti-spoofing measures, secure communications links, and onboard cryptographic controls
- Support security clearance processes, regulatory submissions, and responses to technical assurance findings
- Plan and coordinate penetration testing, red-team activities, and end-to-end security audits across the programme
- Act as final technical authority for security architecture approval prior to operational deployment
